Adjustable Tension Control

Tension adjustment occurs by rotating the ball rod clockwise or counterclockwise. Clockwise rotation increases the distance between clamps and sternum plate, creating stronger pulling force on attached nipples. Counterclockwise rotation reduces this distance and tension. The threaded mechanism allows for incremental adjustments—users can add or decrease pull gradually rather than in sudden jumps.

The clover clamp design naturally increases grip pressure when tension pulls on the chains, creating a self-tightening effect. This differs from standard clamps where grip remains constant regardless of external force.

Practical Operation

Position the rest plate flat against the sternum with clamps facing outward. Apply one clamp to each nipple, ensuring the rubber-tipped jaws are securely positioned. Begin with the ball rod in a neutral position, then slowly turn it to introduce pulling force. The sternum plate remains stable against the chest throughout adjustment, requiring no hand support once positioned.

The hands-free design allows the wearer to maintain the sensation while engaging in other activities or having their hands available for additional stimulation. The device can be used solo or with a partner who controls the tension adjustments.

Portability and Storage

The Tower of Pain disassembles into separate components—clamps, chains, rod mechanism, and rest plate—for compact storage.
