Compatibility and Installation

The connector is designed for HiSmith Premium machines and similar center-drive thrusting systems with compatible threaded drive rods. The center mounting shaft threads directly onto the machine's drive rod, secured with the knurled locking collar. Two locking screws on the underside of the crossbar allow adjustment of the drive shaft angle and stabilization of the assembly. The hex key wrench included in the package is used to tighten these set screws after alignment.

Each end coupling accepts attachments with standard Vac-U-Lock bases. Attachments are inserted and rotated clockwise until the spring-loaded balls engage the locking groove, providing a secure connection during operation. The fixed horizontal spacing between attachment points determines positioning — this adapter does not offer adjustable spacing.

Operational Characteristics

The rigid aluminum bar transfers thrust force from the machine drive to both mounted attachments simultaneously, maintaining synchronized movement. Total weight capacity depends on the machine's drive specifications — heavier dual attachments may reduce stroke depth or require speed adjustment. The fixed spacing and orientation work best with machines that allow vertical or angled positioning of the drive assembly.
